Love her or hate her, Carrie Bradshaw was undoubtably the biggest fashion plate to enter the 21st century. She pushed the envelope, started trends—some great, some just plain scary—and got people talking. Most importantly, she pioneered the high/low mix: a Mickey Mouse tee with a tuxedo jacket, a couture gown with costume jewelry. She got people experimenting with different, more daring looks and combinations. Many of us still channel our inner Carrie, whether we realize it or not, every time we get dressed.
