Got Hangover?

We’ve all over-indulged and woken up the next morning feeling less than spritely. Chances are some of you will be feeling that way Friday morning. (Especially if you decide to go through the entire list of our champagne cocktails).

It may be unavoidable, but first off, try to avoid the hangover all together. My top tips: don’t mix alcohols (pick your poison before you start drinking and stick to it. And yes, shots count) and drink plenty of water (ask for a glass with your first round and the bartender will certainly keep refilling it throughout the night).

If you still can’t manage to avoid a hangover, my recipe for making sure the next day isn’t completely wasted (pun intended): Excederin, coffee or black tea, a little hair of the dog (the mimosa is my go-to), and greasy food (home fries, anyone?), followed by a nice, long shower. If you know that you might be over-indulging ahead of time, get the coffee ready, the potatoes chopped and boiled, and the bubbly in the fridge before you go out! And drink some water, for god’s sake!

I am totally on board with the home fries and hair of the dog. Worst hangovers of my life have been cured by diner food and early morning booze…preceded by vomming of course.

I should have posted sooner! maybe I could have helped someone’s New-Years-Day Morning?
I dont have any major trick…just WATER.
Towards the end of the night, alternate your last two drinks with a full glass of water, then before bed try to drink another glass. Keep some by the bed and when you wake up, drink more and take a couple Advil or whatever if need be.
