Boyfriend jeans are showing up all over the place as the “it” jean. As someone who has weathered the lo-rise boot-cut storm, trendy or no, I am giddy at the fact that the market is now flooded with straight-leg, loose, distressed jeans with a decent rise. And I’m a big fan of the cuffed jean, so the fact that these look great cuffed makes me happy as a clam (digger).
Since the jeans are loose and generally “destroyed,” the trick is to pair them with fitted, clean pieces. Wear them with:
- a snug tee, a tailored blazer, and ballet flats
- a crisp button-down, a form-fitting sweater, and pumps
- a tank, shrunken hoodie, and ankle booties
