It’s getting cold outside and dammit if I didn’t have a leaf fall at my feet yesterday. While I may not be all ga-ga for fall like everyone else in this crazy town, if it’s going to come, I’m going to make the best of it.
Henri Bendel candles, available at Bath & Body Works for $26 a pop, are a great alternative to other super-expensive designer candles–they’ve got the chic scents, simple, elegant packaging, and best of all, they can transport you to a cozy, slope-side cabin with the flick of a match.
“Firewood,” my favorite of the Bendel candle options, is the city girl’s alternative to a fireplace. It may not keep you warm (please don’t get that close), but with the spot-on burning firewood scent, if you close your eyes, you might as well be next to a fireplace filled with flickering flames.
By the way, this is a great gift idea (housewarming, holiday, hostess)… And boys LOVE this candle. Seriously–every time there’s a man in my house and I have it going, they ask about it and then tell their gals that they have to get one for their place.
